Home Condos (power + adelaide) is a proposed 21 storey building consisting of a 6 storey podium with a 15 storey tower and 446 residential units designed by TACT Architecture Inc. With a distinctive U-shaped design by Core Architects. With two connected wings of 15 storeys framing the north and south edges of the site. Home Condos (power + adelaide) will contain 446 dwelling units of which 5 are bachelor units, 269 are 1-bedroom units, 136 are 2-bedroom units and 36 are 3-bedroom units. Of the 269 one-bedroom units, 12 will be replacement rental units to replace the current ones to be demolished on 125 Parliament Street.
A seven-storey block sits upright above the two wings. There will be three levels of underground parking proposed for 181 vehicle spaces of which 155 are for residents and 26 are for visitors. There will also be 446 bicycle parking spaces proposed of which 401 are for residents and 45 are for visitors. King & Parliament in Toronto will also have green roofs.
Access to the residential lobby is located to be located at Adelaide Street East while retail space will be located on Parliament Street, Adelaide Street East and Power Street.
Total indoor amenity space proposed is 653 square metres and total outdoor amenity space proposed is 419 square metres to be located on the 7th storey of the building.
The alternating white and black facade provides a softer look at street level, where spacious windows welcome entry. Smaller retail units will be included on the ground floor of the four-storey podium, while the level above features a single large space suited to a grocery store.
